Goal: Change mathematical expressions into verbal expressions.
  • Write verbal expressions for mathematical expressions.
  • Use order of operations to evaluate problems.

Vocabulary:
  • Variable: symbols used to represent unspecified numbers or values.
  • Algebraic Expression: consists of one or more numbers and variables along with one or more arithmatic operations.
  • Factors: quantities being multiplied.
  • Products: are the results of a mathematical problem.
  • Power: an expression like x²
  • Base: base variable, x², is x
  • Exponent: x², is ²
  • Evaluate: mens find the value
